A note about my background to the prospective student: A black belt is not an instructor rank, it is merely a statement of competence in the foundations of a style.

I no longer practice or teach Karate, Tae kwon do or Aikido as a whole. I only take the bits I like/found useful from what I learned while studying them.
I've made no effort to retain any ranks of Karate, Tae kwon do or Aikido for about 10 years now.

I only teach the sparring and conditioning aspect of Karate and Tae kwon do. No karate/tkd specific techniques or kata.
I only teach such aikido as it's concepts overlap with my style of aikijujutsu. I have no certifications other than what is listed on this bio page. I am not a certified instructor of any fitness skill unless it is noted here as being such.

The style of Aikijujutsu and Kenjutsu I teach is not a purely historical system, the foundation of it is of mixed origin.
I have heavily modified both systems with experience in use and exposure to other systems and other exposures to classical ryu-ha.
My classical programs of Kenjutsu and Aikijujutsu differ only in the way they are taught. They are not purely historical systems either.

Even with the changes I've made, I feel this is still kenjutsu, and I call it such out of respect for what came before, but you are not practicing a specific samurai or ninja-ryu. You are practicing Kenjutsu composed of what I have found useful and decided to keep. I have only found my performance to be more effective as the above statements developed over time.
